Caring for a woolly item from Eka Bee is easy
If a wash is really, really necessary, gently hand-wash in lukewarm water, using a mild soap especially for wool. Soak for a minute or two, no rubbing, gently push down to squeeze. Rinse until water runs clear - squeeze dry as best you can. Lie flat on a towel without stretching it, roll up and then stand - yes, stand on it to squeeze out as much water as possible
Unroll and gently lay it flat on another dry towel - shape and leave flat to dry in the shade
Pilling happens from time to time, especially in areas where there are more friction like on the sleeves. Some wool types like Cashmere is more prone to pilling, it's normal. Do not pull it off. Best way to treat the item is to use an electric lint remover
Your Bee would love to be stored folded rather than hanging on a hanger - woolly items tend to stretch and because wool has a memory - yes, it does - it's hard to get it back into shape
Wool is a wonderful material and doesn't need regular washing. If it doesn't have obvious dirty areas or marks on it, it makes more sense to rather air it. Hang it outside in the breeze for a few minutes, get rid of the pilling, and it will be like new.
Wool is a timeless luxury that continues to reward us. It pays to look after it :-)
